### Tooth

A hard-tissue organ in the oral cavity responsible for the chewing function of cutting and crushing food, as well as for pronunciation and aesthetics.

Adults usually have 32 teeth including the wisdom teeth, composed from the outside inward of enamel, dentin, and pulp. A tooth is divided into the crown that is exposed above the gum and the root embedded in the jawbone.
