Abutment

A post-shaped part that connects the artificial tooth root (fixture) and the prosthesis.

It is fastened onto the implant fixture placed in the jawbone, allowing a final prosthesis such as a crown to be mounted on top. It is made of titanium, zirconia, etc., and is selected as a prefabricated or custom type according to gum thickness and esthetic requirements.
