This is a treatment in which an artificial tooth root is placed in the space left by a missing tooth, and an artificial tooth is mounted on top of it.

A titanium artificial root is placed into the jawbone to restore chewing force similar to that of a natural tooth. It has the advantage of not requiring the surrounding teeth to be ground down.
